TITLE:   Health Assistant

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Assist school nurse in day-to-day activities of health office.  Provide assistance with health screening, health records, filing and checking student emergency cards, entering student information into data base and other related duties.  Answer phone and greet visitors.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Education and/or experience equivalent to High School Diploma or GED
  2. State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
  1. Completion of District administered skills tests
  1. Valid Arizona Driver’s license (required) with reliable transportation (screening team)
  2. Current AZ DHS certification as a hearing screener, or must attend class to obtain certification upon hire

Potential exposure to infectious disease

 

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

 

Repetitive motion and eye strain through extensive utilization of computer hardware and software

Bending, stooping and standing

May be required to lift up to 50lbs to assist students

May be required to lift, transport, and set up hearing and vision screening equipment and supplies with possible combined weight of 25 pounds

May need to lift and carry laptop computer
