TITLE: Noon Aide
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide safety and assistance to children in lunchrooms and school grounds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED preferred
2. Must be at least 18 years of age
3. Experience working with and/or supervising children
4. State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
5. No previous experience required

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Ensuring safety of students in lunchrooms and school grounds.
? Counsel and/or intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior
? Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel
? Respond to emergency situations to address safety concerns
? Escorting students to and from classrooms.
? Assisting students in lunchroom and/or school grounds.
? Perform routine cleaning tasks (clean up spills, floor, etc.)
? Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
? Knowledge of District policies and regulations
? Skill in interacting with students, staff and parents
? Ability to use equipment such as walkie talkie, brooms, mops or related items.
? Ability to enforce school and/or District rules, regulations, policies and procedures
? Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with students, parents and staff

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Occasional lifting, carrying, pulling, or running
Push/pull, lift/carry up to 10 lbs
May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and/or crawl
