TITLE: Teacher - Physical Education
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide a quality physical education program that motivates students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed for a lifetime of physical activity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree
- Arizona Elementary or Secondary Teacher certification with Physical Education K-12 endorsement (required)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach the district-approved physical education program to assigned students.
- Coordinate public relations efforts; demonstrate and interpret the physical education program to the community.
- Work with the school and district administrators overseeing the physical education program.
- Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth activities.
- Create a positive environment for learning through effective classroom management and sound teaching techniques.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and personalize instruction whenever possible.
- Maintain accurate grades and records for compliance with district federal and state guidelines.
- Communicate with parents through conference and other means to discuss pupil progress and interpret the district physical education program.
- Maintain a learning environment that enables students to learn skills and safely participate in activities.
- Actively participate in meaningful role modeling and lesson activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
